The Process

Interested in granite but not sure how the process works or if it is even in your budget? Let us help you understand it a little better. Initially we would like to get you a free estimate so you can determine how a new stone counter top compares to your budget or the stories you may have heard about how expensive granite is. The expense of adding the beauty of a natural stone counter top to your kitchen, bath or bar can vary and is determined by several factors. 1. size of the project The first 2 steps can really be done in any order, however here is a list of the steps involved...... Step 1: Get a layout drawn of your kitchen counters or what you would like your counters to look like if you are making changes- this can be done using our "do-it-yourself" tool below or simply by getting us a copy of the drawings done by your cabinet company if you are replacing your cabinets. Step 2: Start looking at different stones, edges, sink options and backsplash options. You can visit our showroom in Frederick to see the edges, sinks & stones that we offer. You are also welcome to provide us with the sink you would like us to use. We stock approximately 30 stones choices here that you can select from or you can visit any of our distributors that are convenient for you. **check our "Specials" page for current promotions and sales Step 3: Schedule - As you shop for the right stone, sink, edge and faucets we will update your estimate so you can compare your different choices with your budget and make some final decisions. Once that is done we will schedule the measurement and installation of you project. Step 4: Measurement - at this point all your decisions should be final. At the measurement we will collect your deposit which is approximately 1/3 of your total and can be paid via cash, check, Visa or MasterCard. We will also need your sink template (unless you selected one supplied by us), your faucet hole configuration, and final stone choice. Step 5: Fabrication - once we have your actual measurements and/or templates completed and your stone we can begin fabricating your new counter top. Fabrication can only begin once all your final selections have been made. Step 6: Installation!! the installation should be completed with 1 visit with the exception of jobs requiring full height backsplash which requires 2 installation dates. The normal turn around time is within 2 weeks from measurement to installation. Final payment will be due the day of the install. We accept personal checks, Visa & Mastercard. Step 7: Invite your friends over to see your new counter tops!!
